Jane’s Beef Stroganoff

This is a recipe of mom’s that I remember her making when I was growing up

Jane’s Beef Stroganoff

1 1/2 lbs of chunked beef
1 10oz can beef broth
3/4 C water
1/2 C flour
1/2 lb mushroom caps
1/4 lb small white onions
1 tsp salt
Dash of pepper

Brown the meat using cooking spray or a small amount of oil. After the meat has browned drain any remaining oil.

Combine all ingredients in a dutch oven on the stove or a very deep large skillet with a lid. Cook on med low heat for 30 min, stirring occassionally. When the thirty minute timer goes off stir the contents again and turn to a low setting and set the timer for another 45 minutes.Stir occassionally, and turn off after the 45 minute timer. Add sour cream just before serving.
Serve over noodles or rice.
